Kara Egan is the CEO and co-founder of Teal Health, a women’s health platform that is focused on solving some of the most pressing health issues - starting with cervical cancer. By offering an at-home cervical cancer screening, Teal can address the many barriers to this life-saving screening and welcome women into a healthcare experience that is designed for them and their preferences. 

Kara has spent her entire career at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and startups. She led early-stage investments as a venture capitalist focused on health tech at .406 Ventures and software at Emergence Capital. As an operator, she has launched new products and managed marketplaces at start-ups ranging from seed through to IPO at Backupify (Datto), Stitch Labs (Square), and Zendesk (IPO). 

Kara earned her BS in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. While at Stanford, she was an All-American sailor and Captain of the Stanford Varsity Sailing Team. She has received her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Dial and Kauffman Fellow.
