Hot in, so hot in herre! Night one of the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival featured everyone from Dua Lipa to J.Cole and even special guest FINNEAS. Held at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, the night featured fellow performers Cheap Trick, Walker Hayes, Darius Rucker, Weezer & Nelly, who closed out the show with special guests Florida Georgia Line.
The iconic rapper met up with Z100’s Maxwell & Crystal Rosas backstage, who were on hand to recap the night during the iHeartRadio Music Festival Post Show Presented By Expedia on iHeartRadio's Twitter & Facebook accounts, and recalled his first pair of Nike Air Force 1s.
“I actually got turned on to the Air Force 1s from my brothers up in Harlem," Nelly, known for the shoe, recalled backstage. "When I was trying to get my record deal … I ran out of Reeboks … and they was like, 'Yo get you some 1s!'”
Some more highlights? Disco queen Dua Lipa powered through a wardrobe malfunction after her bodysuit’s strap broke mid-way through her opening performance while FINNEAS gained a whole new fanbase with a perfect preview of his debut album. And we can’t forget the likes of Cheap Trick, Darius Rucker & Weezer getting us dancing on our feet again, feeling back to concert life post-pandemic. (Vaccinated and with masks, safely, of course.)
