Kevin Hunter Jr., the 22-year-old son of media personality Wendy Williams, is speaking out for the first time about his mother's health.

In his first-ever interview, Hunter Jr., who Williams shares with ex-husband Kevin Hunter, told The Sun he has serious concerns about his mother's heavy alcohol consumption and the people she's surrounded by.

Hunter Jr. claimed his mother's alcohol use "isn't like a normal person," and "it's gotten to a point where yes, it could have that effect that it might be fatal." The 22-year-old said he's attended William's medical appointment where doctors noted that her other health issues cause a "compounding effect" that changes how her body processes alcohol.

Hunter Jr. further alleged that his mother's mental and physical health have been on a downward spiral since she was taken under guardianship last year. Williams' history of substance abuse and ongoing health issues have made it easier for those around her to "take advantage," Hunter Jr. said.

"I know there are all sorts of things happening that I know in her right mind she would never agree to," he told The Sun. "As hard as it is seeing her being taken advantage of, I know that if I'm making sure she, as a person, is okay, that is the important thing. Because eventually, she's going to realize the craziness that's been going on."

"What's been made more important by the people around her is that while her health may not be great, she needs to keep on earning income, and in my opinion that should not be a priority at all," Hunter Jr. continued. "And whoever has been hired — they are taking advantage of someone who needs to get better."

When asked if he had a plan to help his mom, William's son said: "The plan is that I am hoping and praying that the people who are up there with her right now don't lead her down the path to where something can't happen to help her.

"If there was a way or if there was a plan I could think of I wouldn't be here doing this interview. I would be doing something that I could do," he told The Sun.
