Piers Morgan slaps down Trump's transgender military ban reasoning

Trump did an interview with Piers Morgan for Good Morning Britain during his trip to Great Britain. They covered a lo of topics including gun deaths, the Vietnam War, comments he made about Meghan Markle and his transgender military ban, in which Piers exposes how stupid his reasoning is by pointing out that the military pays for Viagra for those who serve.

Bringing up Trump's claims he supports the LGBTQ community, Piers asks him how he squares that with banning transgender people from the military. Trump claims it costs too much.

"They take massive amounts of drugs, they have to, and also, and you're not allowed to take drugs, in the military you're not allowed to take any drugs, you take an aspirin."

According to the Military Times, the Defense Department spends more on erectile dysfunction drugs than it spends on healthcare services for transgender people, spending more than $84 million on erectile dysfunction drugs for active-duty military troops in 2014.

Trump laughs as he says he didn't know they did that... He claims to be making decisions on who can and can't voluntarily serve their country based on medical costs, but he doesn't know how much the country is spending on military costs. Can the conclusion be anything other than that he, and those around him, Republicans, are bigoted against transgender people, didn't like that they were in the military and found what they see as an acceptable reason to ban them?
