Less than a week after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo briefed the Senate on Saudi Arabia and told reporters "there is no direct reporting connecting the crown prince (Mohammed bin Salman) to the order to murder Jamal Khashoggi," after being brief by CIA Director Gina Haspel, Senator Lindsey Graham says there is no doubt the crown prince was involved.
"There's not a smoking gun, there's a smoking saw."
That in reference to the how the Washington Post journalist was dismembered by a bone saw.
Graham goes on to say if Pompeo and Secretary of Defense James Mattis are just being good soldiers for Trump when coming to the conclusion the crown prince wasn't involved.
"I would really question somebody's judgement if they couldn't figure this out...I think the reason they don't draw the conclusion that he's complicit is 'cause the administration doesn't want to go down that road."
