Trump and CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta have had a contentious relationship with Acosta asking Trump and his administration questions and them getting mad at him for asking questions.
His exchange with Trump today must have been the final straw. Acosta tweeted a video of him giving a Secret Service agent his White House credentials.
"The US Secret Service just asked for my credential to enter the WH. As I told the officer, I don’t blame him. I know he’s just doing his job. (Sorry this video is not rightside up)"
At least we know the first question reporters will ask Trump and Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tomorrow: Is confiscating a reporter's credentials a violation of the First Amendment?
Dan Rather reacted with a message of solidarity.
