White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders taking questions from the press the day after Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to, and implicated Trump in, campaign finance violations. Cohen said he paid off two women Trump had sex with at Trump's direction specifically to influence the 2016 presidential election is a master class in keeping a straight face while giving bull crap answers.
She was asked if Trump committed a crime:
"As the President has said - we've stated many times - he did nothing wrong. There are no charges against him."
Follow up on why they didn't report the payments:
"As the President has stated on numerous occasions: he did nothing wrong. There are no charges against him in this. And just because Michael Cohen made a plea deal doesn't mean that that implicates the President on anything."
That's true, the fact that Michael Cohen made a plea deal doesn't implicate Trump on anything. It was when Michael Cohen implicated Trump that implicates Trump on something.
She was asked if Trump lied to the American people when he lied to the American people:
"I think that's a ridiculous accusation."
