Trump delays Putin White House visit until after "witch hunt"

According to National Security Advisor John Bolton, Trump has rescinded the invitation to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit the White House in the Fall. Instead they will wait until after the "witch hunt." You know, the investigation into connections between Russia and Trump's campaign during the 2016 election that has already resulted in numerous indictments.

Bolton told reporters:

“The President believes that the next bilateral meeting with President Putin should take place after the Russia witch hunt is over, so we’ve agreed that it will be after the first of the year.”

So, the person whose job it is to advise the president on matters of national security is on the record calling a Special Council investigation into the proven interference of a foreign government in our elections a "witch hunt."

And, the first of the year? Unless they know something we don't, there's no reason to believe the investigation will be over by the end of the year.
