After the world saw Trump side with Putin over HIS own intelligence people, he tweeted that he has "GREAT confidence in MY intelligence people.”
But we all saw him say, "My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me, some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I will say this, I don't see any reason why it would be."
So, if he does have confidence in his intelligence people, that means he does actually believe the Russians meddled in our elections, which means he lied at the post summit press conference. Does that mean he was scared of Putin, and didn't want to disagree with him to his face..?
Then, he wrote, "However, I also recognize that in order to build a brighter future, we cannot exclusively focus on the past." So, he does believe the Russians meddled, but since it happened in the past we should just let it go.
It happened during the most recent presidential elections. Relatively, that's not "the past," that's the current.
